WHY DO YOU REFER TO YOURSELF AS THE AFFORDABLE PLANNER? DOES THIS MEAN THAT MY WEDDING WILL BE AFFORDABLE?

The simple answer is because our services are actually affordable.

We believe that Weddings do not have to be expensive to be memorable but sadly this does not mean that your wedding will be affordable because there are alot of factors to consider when considering this.

One of which is the client’s choice of vendors. Vendors are 3rd party and not under La’ Heiress so we cannot control their prices, we can only try to
get the best prices from them.

WHAT IS YOUR PREFERRED MODE OF COMMUNICATION?

Planners are always busy, mainly because we have quite a number of events that need our attention.

And as such, we cannot afford to forget any details for any of our events and this is why communicating these details the best way is important to help us help you plan better.

We insist on a written communication, preferrably chat platform, so that we can easily go back to read the chats and not miss anything.

Phone calls pose a big risk as details may be misinterpreted or even forgotten.

ARE PHYSICAL MEETINGS COMPULSORY DURING THE PLANNING PROCESS?

No, it is not a necessity. We have planned quite a number of events without meeting with our clients until the week of the event and everything went smoothly on the event day.

Good communication is advised where the client is not available for physical meetings but it does not mean that we can not successfully plan an event without seeing the client.

DO YOU PLAN EVENTS OUTSIDE LAGOS STATE?

Yes, we do! As a matter of fact, about half of our clients do not have their weddings in Lagos. They live all over the nation.

We have travelled to Ibadan, Osun state, Ogun state, the East and North. So we are very comfortable with out-of-city/state/country
clients.

WOULD YOU RATHER HANDLE PAYMENTS TO THE VENDORS OR CAN YOUR CLIENT DO THIS?

Yes, we would rather handle the payments to the vendors on behalf of our clients, to eliminate all kinds of stress but if the client would prefer to handle this aspect then it is totally fine by us as well.

DO YOU HAVE A PHYSICAL OFFICE? IF YES, WHERE IS IT SITUATED?

Yes, we have an office space and it is located in the heart of Lagos.

DO YOU FORCE VENDORS ON YOUR CLIENTS?

No, we don’t. We believe that our clients should have the right to choose their preferred vendors. However, we give our professional advice based on our
experiences with them, if we have worked with them before or based on what we see on their social media handles or feedbacks.

The only vendors we are particular about working with, are our hostesses and
bouncers/security vendors and this will be discussed at the initial planning stage.

WILL YOU BE BOSSING MY VENDORS AROUND ON MY WEDDING DAY?

Oh no, that is not the way we operate! We believe in vendors working as a TEAM with one common goal: the success of your wedding. We want you to have a beautiful and wonderful wedding and we work together with your other vendors to create a wonderful experience for you.

As for the wedding party, we are there to guide them on the wedding day, helping them and answering any questions, not to boss them around. We believe in fun and stress-free weddings for everyone involved!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE WEDDING INDUSTRY?

La’ Heiress Hospitality Services was established in July 2013, starting off as an ushering agency.

La’ Heiress Weddings was birthed in July 2015.

La’ Heiress Hospitality Services is fully registeredunder the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria.

DO YOU HAVE IDEAS ON HOW TO MAKE MY WEDDING SPECIAL, UNIQUE, AND MEMORABLE?

One of our favourite parts of our job is working with our clients and vendors to brainstorm and create whatever is necessary to make their weddings extra-special and tailored to their personalities, likes, and desires. This is one of the main reasons we keep ourselves up-to-date with what’s current in the wedding industry, so we can offer creative and unique ideas for our clients weddings.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE WHICH VENDORS TO RECOMMEND TO EACH OF YOUR CLIENTS?

We tailor all vendor referralsto fit the specific clientbased on their style, personality, and budget.

After meeting with you and getting to know more about you and your wedding, we send you vendor referrals that are selected especially for YOU!

WHAT IF I DONT SEE EXACTLY WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IN ONE OF YOUR PACKAGES?

No worries! We are here to help. Once we are in touch with you, we will ask a few questions in order to learn more about your upcoming wedding. We would be happy to meet with, you for a complimentary consultation.

At the consultation we will discuss your wedding and your coordination needs, as well as answer any questions you have about your wedding. After learning more about your needs, we will determine if a certain package is a good fit,or we will customize something to meet your needs.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS OR EVENTS DO YOU COORDINATE PER DAY?

At La’ Heiress Weddings we only take a limited number of weddings every year.
This means that we only do one or two weddings or events per day.

In the cases where we have two events on the same day, both clients will be duly informed about this from the onset, before the planning commences.

We go ahead with this if and only if both clients are satisfied with the terms of our services.

This will not affect the excellent delivery because we have capable hands.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU PLAN PER YEAR?

By choice, we plan approximately 30 to 35 weddings per year. We are firm believers in not over-committing ourselves, so we control our workloads in order to give our clients the time and attention they deserve!

HOW MANY COORDINATORS WILL ATTEND TO MY GUESTS ON MY WEDDING DAY?

The Head Planner and/or The Events Manager and at least 3 to 4 coordinators will be at your wedding, depending on the wedding package agreed on.

We may need more coordinators if you have a large guest count or multiple locations.

This would be discussed at the initial planning stage and arrangements would be made depending on how many the client is willing to pay for.

DO YOU CHARGE A FLAT RATE OR A PERCENTAGE OF OUR OVERALL WEDDING BUDGET? -AND DO YOU HAVE A RETAINER FEE TO SECURE YOUR WEDDING PLANNER SERVICES?

We charge a flat rate for our customized Wedding Planning Services.

Yes, there is a retainer’s fee to secure your date. Our retainer’s fee ranges between 50% to 70% of the overall planner’s fee, depending on the date of the event.

WHAT SIZES OF WEDDINGS HAVE YOU HANDLED IN THE PAST?

We have planned and coordinated all sizes of weddings from just the small and intimate with only the bride and groom with a few guests (100) to hundreds of guests (1,500 and more) within and outside Lagos.

DO YOU CHARGE FOR AN INITIAL CONSULTATION?

Yes, we do. We believe that the value of information you will be getting from the consultancy session, is enough for you to understand what to expect and how to go about your wedding.

If after the consultation, you decide to engage our services for your special day, then the fee charged for yourconsultation would be deducted from your planning fees.

WHAT WEDDING PLANNING SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

Full Wedding Planning & Partial Wedding Planning Services.

1. Full Wedding Planning Services: We handle the total selection of vendors, budgeting, payments and coordination on the event day.

2. Partial Wedding Planning Services: The Client already has some vendors they want to work with and the Planner sources for the remaining vendors.

DO YOU ACCEPT COMMISSIONS OR KICKBACKS FROM ANY VENDORS?

No, we do not. If a vendor decides to willingly give us something to show
appreciation for referral, we won’t object to this but we do NOT collect/demand kickbacks from our vendors.

We believe that since we have been paid for our services just like any other vendor coming on board for the event, there is no need to demand kickbacks from our vendors. It also goes against our ethics.

We are more concerned about our vendors delivering their best services to suit your style and budget.
